for our Business Development Unit   Mission 

The Market Analyst initiates sales activities in the assigned regions based on the analysis and evaluation of market-specific data. He/she identifies opportunities and threats in sales (existing business, new business, online, groups), marketing and pricing and supports in driving all processes at the assigned regions/markets.

 

Tasks

Analysis & Reporting (45%):

  • Monitoring, analysing, developing and adapting of reports, tools and workflows
  • Monitor SN sales channels performance/business development and initiate/coordinate commercial recommendations/adjustments in coordination with Sales Analysts
  • Contributing to the creation of sales promoting activities and monthly / weekly action plans through analysis of market specific data
  • Continuously monitoring, developing and adapting market- specific reports
  • Continuously evaluating market development (Competitor and partner monitoring)
  • Regular monitoring and evaluation of schedule quality including investing the potential for increasing capacity and new destinations.
  • Generating data for sales channel management and online push
  • Market specific and ad-hoc reporting/analysis
  • Distributing market and competitor information within the organisation

Commercial Strategy setting and execution (40%):

  • Contributing to the yearly planning and budgeting process (revenue, incentives, sales channels).
  • Ensuring a seamless flow of information and cooperation with all departments (interface between sales, marketing & pricing)
  • Identification of sales trends and development of appropriate sales strategies in coordination with Sales Analysts
  • Annual assessing of account manager portfolios (result of customer segmentation).
  • Monthly revenue forecasting
  • Monthly incentive forecasting (across all sales channels) in cooperation with account management and sales support

Miscellaneous (15%)

  • Contributing to the sales lead generation process (incl. use of BARACUDA)
  • Forwarding sales leads to the New Business Account Manager
  • Ensuring the quality of reference data in LHG databases
  • Distributing market and competitor information within the organisation
  • Keeping up-to-date with all technical developments regarding reporting tools
  • Working closely with and providing back-up for the Sales Analysts
  • Participating at sales/commercial meetings

 

Profile
  • Masters (preferably in quantitative studies eg; statistics, mathematics, economics etc)
  • >2 years professional experience preferred
  • Thorough affinity with web/digital environment
  • Good understanding of the aviation industry and their main performance indicators
  • Know-how of following sales tools preferred: MP @ WEB, SIRAX, LH MIDT tools, and other Sales tools, incl. CORONA, Amadeus, MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and not afraid to think out of the box
  • Ability to work with numbers/figures
  • Ability to work and interact with people from all hierarchy levels
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills: both written and orally (English)
