Client Details

Our client is a Belgian company with international reputation and a leading position in the food manufacturing sector.
To strengthen its team, the organisation is looking for a Packaging Engineer for its site in the Brussels region.

Description

Bulk tray development
Feasibility, technical drawings, dimensions, testing on line & samples approval
Bulk outercases development
Dimensions, transport test (organization, validation and report) & samples approval
Prepacks development
Technical drawings, die lines, dimensions & samples approval for tray / lid / base / cushion / cello / pouch / sleeve / base label / sticker
Prepacks outercases development
Dimensions, transport test(organization, validation and report) & samples approval
Wrapped Chocolates/Carrés
Briefing to supplier (lack of expertise on specs requirements/grammage etc)
Artwork development with supplier (technical drawing needed and provided by the supplier for now)
Flow wrap packaging development
Dimensions, transport test (organization, validation & report) & samples approval
Participation to new packaging machine implementation
Testing, report & validation
* Optimization of current packaging
* Lay out and materials including sustainability aspects
Admin
Weigh and measure all packaging elements for data entrance in our systems
Packaging approval in our system for carrés wrappers & soon for all prepacks elements

Profile

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial engineering, chemical engineering, packaging engineering or in a related field.
* A demonstrated background in packaging
* Technical understanding (Packaging expertise & industrial processes)
* Good knowledge of French or/and Dutch, English is a plus
* Able to deliver quickly concrete results
* Experience in chocolate industry or other food industry;
* Technical understanding (Packaging expertise & industrial processes);
* Time management & project management skills;
* Theoretical + hands-on approach + proactive;
* Good communication skills
* Good knowledge of MS Office
