Sales Engineer position with focus on engineering, project management from A to Z and client business development, within a growing manufacturing and production organisation located in West Flanders.

My client is an ambitious organisation that is specialised in the design and the production of installations for weighing, dosing, filling and packing of bulk goods. The company has a very strong international reputation in its industry, and it is active in sectors such as chemical, food and logistics. With a look towards the future, my client is ambitious, and in a current state of growth and innovation. The products and services delivered by my client are all custom-made projects that provide tailored solutions answering to specific needs. A big part of the turnover of the organisation is realised through exportation on an European as well as on a worldwide level.

In the context of their continuous growth, they are currently looking for a Sales Engineer for their location in West Flanders to support and to expand the team.


As a Sales Engineer you are responsible for:

  • Acquisition of new projects, ranging from small to large scale projects
  • Good understanding of clients' needs after a first contact
  • Translation of those needs through pre-engineering towards a tailor-made and detailed proposal
  • Presentation and follow up of this proposal throughout the decision making process of the client, leading eventually to a partnership and collaboration
  • Key account management as well as business development towards key target companies to present the products and services
  • Coaching of local agents in export countries
  • As a consequence, travel will be part of the job for 30% of your time


To be qualified for the position of Sales Engineer, you should match following competences and skills:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Affinity with technology & manufacturing
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably sales of investment goods and projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Focus on client relationships and tailor made solutions
  • Ability to have a good ear for your client
  • Full professional proficiency in French and English are a must, all other languages are a plus
  • Motivated, hands on, ambitious, entrepreneurial, proactive and curious personality
