Client Details

Our client is a leading player in the Retail sector and is looking for a good team player, hard worker and motivated Finance & Administration Manager.

It will give you the opportunity to work closely with the CEO of the Belux entity.


As Finance & Administration Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the Belgium and Luxembourg accounting team, make sure that the Group meets all local accounting, tax & legal requirements for the different brands/ companies
  • Responsible for the Group requirements related to the procedures and Group Reporting (IFRS)
  • Analyze and implement the Group policies
  • Supervision of treasury, taxation, transactions, budget accounting and bookkeeping
  • Support of the external audits
  • Supervision of the Group internal control procedures
  • In charge of the cash flow forecast and banking relationships
  • Supervision of all tasks related to general affairs, stock management
  • Responsible for financial statements and report preparation
  • Perform complex accounting work
  • Preparation of tax related documentation regarding accounting activities
  • Verification & reconciliation tasks for invoices and balances
  • Plan, manage, coordinate and implement the end closing processes and procedures
  • Control over treasury, taxation, payables, payroll, stock management
  • Analyze financial and operating reports and provide recommendations to management
  • Coordination of financial planning & budget


  • At least 10 years of experience in accounting/tax/controlling
  • Bachelor or Master in Finance, Economics
  • Fluent in French, Dutch and English
  • PC skills ( MS-word, Excell, Access)
  • Strong knowledge accounting principles, procedures, IFRS
  • Knowledge of internal control procedures
  • Knowledge of commercial, tax, customs and labour's laws
  • Very good leadership and people management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in a Big 4 (or similar), in the retail industry is a plus
