Leads the definition of Controlled Systems

  • Delivers the System Requirements and models according to the requirement management process and Model Based System engineering
  • Builds / Collects information on Tank Architecture, on Electric/Electronic Architecture & bring both in accordance
  • Proposes & validates potential up-grades
  • Analyses & synthesizes OEM Specifications / Standards
  • Writes appropriate procedures and documentation, capitalizes knowledge, issues patent proposals o Contributes to optimization of generic Controlled System FMEA/FTA with SA&C & CS teams
  • Insures delivery of components documentation to the Research project team (CSAE) as under the INPRO/ deliverable list. Keeps PAE informed on BOM evolution
  • Insures manufacturability of the components he is in charge of. o Proposes cost saving ideas

Defines operating models of the system and its environment

  • Functional model
  • Multiphysics model
  • Identifies technical risks, defines and implements corrective action plan
  • In cooperation with the component engineer, reviews and updates the specifications, adapts and publishes the component CTS to the OEM needs
  • Ensure performance, reliability, safety, compliance to norms and regulations of products/system and to ergonomic rules
  • Records product project history file and shares experience within the department.

Contributes the definition of Controlled System Development Methodology

  • Contributes to the development of the Controlled System Development Methodology in accordance to INPRO/INPRO-R internal procedures, and adapts the recommended work packages to the selected models (CMMI/A-SPICE)

Team Management

Depending upon experience and evolution of projects, will take over project leadership relative to systems o Contributes to objective settings & assessment process of Research technical staff


Personal Background

  • Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Good knowledge in ISO26262 norm and ASIL qualification
  • Software: MS Office, Matlab, C, Pspice or OrCAD, dSpace, Vector/Etas tools, Doors, RTC, AMESim

Skills & Abilities

  • Deploys project and project actions of which he is in charge, assumes responsibility of quality, cost and timing l Develops & maintains relevant know-how, capitalizes experience, ensures the diffusion of his knowledge
  • Follows technical and scientific literature (including patents) in his field of expertise, participates to seminars in order to maintain high level up-to-date knowledge
    • Good knowledge of control units, embedded & Real Time Operating Systems, sensors & actuators, automation, fluid & solid mechanics, thermodynamics, Software/ system development recommendations (Spice/CMMI);
    • Demonstrated experience in architecture of automotive controlled systems
    • SYSML/UML is a plus
    • Fluent in French and English; German is a plus
