Client Details

Our client is an international company active in the retail sector and working with premium brands. They are located in the Flemish Brabant and today they are looking for a Category and Business Manager to reinforce their team.

Description

You will have the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • Drive the Product strategy for specific categories for EMEA
  • Define regional line up based on category growth direction/update PIPO file
  • Gather pricing and marketplace information and provide direction to Product group for new products/platforms
  • Consolidate category marketing (communication/positioning) inputs and feed to Global team
  • Analyse competitive marketplace to develop GAP Analysis and identify need for Product or Brand responses including re-positioning or drop in models + identify future trends
  • Deliver category P&L per product group
  • Responsible for sales demand forecast and prioritisation of product allocations (S&OP)
  • Prepare Long Range Plan (including profit plan and 3 years plan) in the system for deployment and consolidation
  • Define preferred launch windows and propose distribution strategy for new products introduction
  • Support the definition of local annual marketing planning cycles (campaigns , promotions)
  • Key point of contact of the local marketing managers (specific needs: digital/POS material - directly with EMEA central brand team)

Profile

The successful candidate will have / be:

  • Master degree in Marketing and/or International Business
  • At least 2 year's experience in trade, brand, product or category marketing
  • Experience working with a premium brand is a plus
  • Consumer-oriented mindset and channel and market insight
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; French, German and Dutch are a plus
  • Strong sense of responsibility and autonomy
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
