International business strategy in B2B Services industry, with focus on financial analysis, high-level communication and negotiation, stakeholder and project management, in a self-starting leadership role.

Client Details

Within the Marketing & Sales Directorate, the Marketing & Sales Europe business unit is responsible for the transport and services in Europe, directly or through subsidiaries and participation, in particular partnerships with major European operators under internationally known brand names. Furthermore, she also distributes and distributes services to its customers through its physical distribution channels, travel agencies and more and more through virtual channels in Belgium and abroad. The Marketing & Sales Directorate has the ambition to make Brussels one of the most prestigious international and multi-modal hubs in the heart of Europe.

As Head of International Business Strategy & Alliances, located in Brussels and with frequent international travel, together with the Marketing & Sales Europe Director, you are responsible for strategic business relationships with existing and potential companies in the neighboring countries, as for the distribution activities. You also often have contact with the other subsidiaries in the group.

Description

As Head of International Business Strategy & Alliances:

  • You are "hands-on" and work in a small team. You often contact: the operational services of the Marketing & Sales Europe business unit, Central Services of Marketing & Sales, Finance, Transport and Corporate Strategy / European Affairs
  • You report to the Marketing & Sales Europe Director
  • You collaborate with the Marketing and Sales Director of Marketing and Sales Europe in determining and executing (after validation) the business strategy regarding: existing and potential undertakings in neighboring countries plus the other subsidiaries within the group
  • Discuss the proposals of these partners for a strategic analysis and make your own proposals
  • Determine the position that my client must take and make it validate
  • Take part in the negotiations with the partners and allow you to report on internal reporting
  • Create reporting of the subsidiaries and participation of my client
  • You work closely with the Strategy & Economic Analysis staff service, including the European Affairs department
  • You work closely with the Finance Management for the economic aspects of the business strategy for the activities of a carrier and distributor
  • You work closely with the Transport Administration to integrate the medium and long-term proposals for the international offer into the national transport plan
  • Looking for new opportunities and profitable business models for carriers and distribution
  • Work out the strategic outlook for the carriers and distribution activities
  • You are involved in the coordination of Project Management of Marketing & Sales Europe and ensure consistency with Global Project Management of Marketing & Sales Management

Profile

As Head of International Business Strategy & Alliances:

  • You have a master's degree, MBA and/or equivalent. If you have obtained your diploma abroad, you must be in possession of a certificate of equivalence delivered by the Flemish Government to be eligible for participation.
  • You have the necessary knowledge and experience in strategic planning, (quantitative and qualitative) economic analyzes and business cases
  • You have a great abstraction ability
  • You have very good analytic skills
  • You have experience with negotiation at strategic and / or business level
  • You are bilingual Dutch / French / English
