The Technical Assistance Center (TAC) provides second and third level technical support to Cisco's customers around the world. The TAC jumps in to help when their network, systems or solutions experience hiccups. They assist when nobody else knows how to fix the issue. Within the TAC, the emphasis is put on the continuous support of Cisco's customers in making their customers' lives better.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide second/third level technical support for Cisco-related technologies
  • Guide Customers in solving problems of high complex issues in their systems, solutions or networks.
  • Apply analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve product and software problems of moderate to high complexity.
  • Utilize moderate to complex lab setups to recreate and solve problems
  • Deliver a superb experience in a difficult or critical situation.
  • Author case studies, troubleshooting guides,...
Profile:

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a world-class technical & customer support role (Level 2) for an enterprise in a similar or related field
  • Experienced in Linux/Unix Systems
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, ...)
  • Highly proficient in troubleshooting in complex environments
  • Assuring technical support in a calm and organized manner while in a critical situation for the business of the customer
  • Communicative, Autonomous, Independent, easiness at working with others
  • Excellent mastering of English

Assets

  • VMware knowledge (KVM/xen)
  • Docker Knowledge
  • Databases knowledge (Postgres/mysql/mongo)
  • Public cloud management experience: AWS, Azure, Openstack
  • Excellent scripting language skills: Python, Java, Javascript, Bash
  • Experience with administration or troubleshooting Cisco UCS
