Robert Half is currently recruiting an (m/f) Accounting & Logistics Manager to join an international FMCG company for a permanent position based in the Zaventem Airport area.

The company is located in the Zaventem airport and is active in the FMCG industry.

You will be reporting to the local Finance Manager and your main responsibilities as Accounting & Logistics Manager will be as follow:

  • You will prepare month-end closing: month end accruals/payroll;
  • You will prepare P&L and first variance analyses actual vs budget;
  • You will prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
  • You will assist and review/prepare legal reporting, Vat return/Intrastat returns, statutory, annual accounts;
  • You will ensure accurate accounting /payment for Accounts payable invoices;
  • You will ensure accurate posting of the bank statements;
  • You will set up and follow up Purchase Orders;
  • You will follow up on AR/AP days outstanding;
  • You will follow up/ensure accurate promotional settlements with customers, issue credit note;
  • You will support budget and planning process;
  • You will participate in improvement projects for accounting;
  • You will become EMEA lead in usage of IFS;
  • You will ensure adequate stock levels;
  • You will monitor closely Best Before Date;
  • You will stay connected with production facilities to get accurate and timely information on re supply;
  • You will develop adequate reporting:
    • Easy to understand communication to commercial team on inventory levels, short shelf life;
    • KPI's on time and in full deliveries;
    • Stock levels;
  • You will participate in improvement projects for logistical projects
  • You will back up customer service EMEA

Required profile for the Accounting & Logistics Manager:

  • You hold a University degree in economics or bachelor in accounting;
  • You have minimum 5 years' work experience within a finance department, (experience in logistics is a plus);
  • You are analytical;
  • You are flexible and a team player;
  • You are a builder : starting from scratch and building the house;
  • You have thorough knowledge in the use of Excel and are system minded;
  • You are willing to go beyond pure finance;
  • English is a must, French and German are a plus.
