Electrical engineer

The Electrical Engineer intervenes from the conceptual phase of the project, to manage the part of the project for which he is responsible and, in particular, to prepare the basic documents, the general specifications, the requisitions of equipment and subcontracting, the consumer list (s), power balance (s), single line diagrams and site plans. He is also responsible in the same context of the technical coordination with the other disciplines, the customer, the subcontractors, the suppliers and assembly companies. These elements will make it possible to carry out the detailed studies, to buy the equipment and to realize the installation. He will ensure that these tasks are performed within the expected schedule, budget and quality level.

Responsibilities

During conception project phase:

  • Conduct the technical studies following the predetermined objectives of quality, costs and deadlines
  • Develop the Single line diagram High and Low Voltage
  • Write the specifications and data sheets of the different equipment (power transformer, medium and low voltage switchboard, inverter, diesel group...
  • Develop Consumer List (s) - Power Balance Sheet (s)
  • Develop Electrical calculation sheet (Short circuit, power factor correction, cables, diesel generator set…)
  • Develop electrical network protection study high and low voltage
  • Write scopes of works, develop slips with quantities and descriptions for the electrical erection
  • Establish technical comparisons
  • Comment on documents and packages of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Participate in coordination between electricity, other disciplines, purchasing, doc control and project management
  • Participate in HAZOP and SIL studies

During execution project phase:

  • Participate in electrical receipts / inspections at Suppliers ‘workshops
  • Follow up the electrical installation on site
  • Participate in commissioning, start-up and performance testing of facilities

Interpersonal skills

• Analyze (or synthesize) the customer's technical needs and determine appropriate solutions
• Evaluate the workload according to deliverables and contractual clauses and determine priorities
• Facilitate technical meetings

Qualifications:

  • Master degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of standards and standards (NBN, EN, IEC, RGIE, ATEX, CENELEC...)
  • Electrical calculation software (Caneco, Elec-Calc, ETAP, Smart Plant Electrical, ...)
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Valid Belgian residence and work authorization/permit
