The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales results throughout Belgium and Luxembourg, leading a team of commercial professionals

Client Details

Our client is one of the largest Automotive Financial Services Companies worldwide which offers a large range of financing products and services to dealers and their customers in Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg.

As part of its development, our client is currently looking for a Sales Manager for Belgium and Luxembourg.


He/she guides the team and ensures the provision of quality service to dealers, monitoring and improving on training, retail credit techniques, F & I development and development of dealer financing. The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company effectively accompanies the brand strategy and its network of distributors, achieving the market share & profitability objectives set for the constructor and the captive. This role reports directly to the Belgium and Netherlands Managing Director.

The main responsibilities are to:

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with the brand, establishing the captive as a valuable partner of the brand
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders in the group in Belgium and Luxembourg
  • Secure a joint definition of sales targets and associated vehicle campaigns
  • Relationship management of large Opel dealers groups
  • Obtain commitment from dealer principles on volume targets and implementation plans
  • Meet sales targets of new and used cars financing and car insurances
  • Meet penetration targets for car financing and car insurance

  • Support Stock Audits

  • Ensure the day today training implementation of diverse methodologies
  • Increase the share of packaged offers in order to increase customer loyalty towards the brand & the captive
  • Support dealer staff training and coaching sessions


To be eligible to this position, the candidate should demonstrate:

  • Minimal 8 years sales experience in automotive industry preferably in a captive environment
  • Proven track record in negotiating on dealer principle level
  • Proven track record in leading small sales teams
  • Verifiable experience in account planning and account plan execution
  • Fluent in Dutch (French), with good French (Dutch) and English language skills

  • Coaching, influencing, and negotiation skills
