La SOFINEX (Société de Financement de l’Exportation et de l’Internationalisation des Entreprises wallonnes) et l’AWEX (Agence wallonne à l’Exportation et aux Investissements étrangers) participent au programme « Junior Consultant » initié au sein de l’IDB (Banque Interaméricaine de Développement). Dans ce cadre, il est fait appel à candidatures pour la fonction de :

Junior Consultant to Support MIF Operations for the IDB in Haïti (M/F)

 

Contexte

At the lnter-American Development Bank (IDB), we're devoted to improving lives. Since 1959, we've been a leading source of long-term financing for economic, social, and institutional development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Multilateral lnvestment Fund (MIF) is a laboratory at the IDB. We promote development through the private sector innovation by identifying, financing, and testing new solutions to development challenges in the region.


Fonction

The selected candidate will support in supervising the implementation of assigned MIF operations and operations of the Social Entrepreneurship Program:

  • Review the contractual terms, disbursement and procurement, according to the policies and procedures of the Bank and the MIF;
  • Review fiduciary aspects of projects, such as disbursement requests milestone, cash flows, procurement plans and their relationship with project milestones in time;
  • Conduct the activities of risk management of the portfolio, including preparing risk analysis reports of the portfolio, prepare mitigation plans corporate risk and institutional strengthening;
  • Conduct analysis and financial projections of the portfolio, including projections of disbursement and approvals, early warning indicators, etc.;
  • Organize logistics, including meetings with executors, investors, donors, and other MIF partners, and support in organizing workshops, assignments or other events.

The selected candidate will contribute to the business generation activities and preparation of MIF operations:

  • Support in developing business opportunities in the country, building and establishing strategic relationships with key partners;
  • Conduct customer management activities and key partners in the country-private sector, partners in government, research institutions, foundations, international agencies and other organizations;
  • Collaborate in defining strategic priorities with the private sector in the country, in close coordination with specialists from the IDB and IDB lnvest;
  • Participate in the design of MIF operations;
  • Participate in the ongoing effort to leverage and scale the MIF experience with other members of the IDB Group, and with influent actors in the private sector and the public sector to achieve results at scale;
  • Guide MIF partners to report through the PSR system;
  • Coordinate knowledge management activities, including consolidation and collection of lessons learned and best practices, preparation of publications, blogs, and other instruments of knowledge.


Profil recherché

  • The candidate must be European citizens from Wallonia Region;
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economy or related field;
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience, some of which would preferably have been in the areas of Project Management, Public Administration and strategic planning;
  • Strong planning, organization and time management skills to function in a team and contribute towards a common goal;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects;
  • Capacity to explain unfamiliar concepts in easily understandable terms to mid - and high ­ level government officials as well as other stakeholders such as diaspora groups;
  • Capacity to function effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, to search for common ground, to resolve problems, and where appropriate, to recommend decisive action;
  • Familiarity with the lnter-American Development Bank (IDB) and knowledge of the IDB organization and its instruments;
  • Needs to be results oriented, client focused and flexible;
  • Fluency in French and English is required.  Knowledge of Creole and Spanish is a plus.
  • Candidates with relatives working for the IDB, IDB lnvest, or MIF as staff members or Complementary Workforce contractuals, will not be eligible to provide services for the Bank;
  • An experience in the context of Latin America and the Caribbean is a plus;
  • Clean criminal record (in order to be granted a G4 visa, delivered by the IADB);
  • Candidates with relatives working for the IDB, IDB lnvest, or MIF as staff members or Complementary Workforce contractuals, will not be eligible to provide services for the Bank.


Modalités pratiques

  • Durée du contrat : 24 mois renouvelable 12 mois.
  • Date d’entrée en fonction : dès que possible.
  • Lieu de travail : Port-au-Prince, Haïti.
  • Rémunération : Conforme aux politiques et procédures de la BID.
