Interested to start your career as a consultant at XPE Pharma & Science? We are looking for a R&D Scientist.

Our client develops treatments for some of the most devastating disorders and complex medical challenges of our times, including cancer, hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, arthritis, dementia, and mental disorders. We focus our research on six strategic pathological areas: oncology, neurosciences, infectious diseases and vaccines, immunology, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders and pulmonary hypertension .

As a scientist you will work in the Discovery Sciences center of excellence, focused on small molecule drug discovery at our client R&D department.

Job description:

Together with their scientists, a deep network of partners and collaborators, you will perform cutting-edge research from target & lead discovery through pre-clinical safety assessment to discover and develop transformational medicines. Every day they use a deep scientific expertise in drug discovery and development and our integrated suite of enabling technologies, platforms and tools to advance the research portfolio of our client five Therapeutic Areas:

  • Cardiovascular & Metabolism,
  • Immunology,
  • Infectious Diseases & Vaccines,
  • Neuroscience and
  • Oncology.

You will be expected to support several projects with a focus on microarray technologies and to some extent Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications. You will be responsible for sample preparation and performing the experiments in the lab ensuring optimal data is available for subsequent analysis by microarray and NGS informatics experts in the team.


For this position, we are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, Laboratory Sciences or related disciplines.

Experience with:

  • DNA/RNA sample preparation methods is required.
  • microarray and/or NGS associated techniques such as PCR, library preparation and target enrichment is desired.

You have the drive and capability to produce high quality data that can be translated into biologically meaningful information always taking care data integrity is ensured.
