Our partner is the Belgian market leader of Gaming Halls spread across Belgium. Our partner has extended its activities by developing a website, allowing its clientele access to both casino games and sports betting. In order to support the growth and development of our online activity, we are currently looking for an:

Head of the online department

Role in the company:

Working together with the Marketing team, the e-business manager is responsible for the development of the online strategy our partner. Being on the crossroads of the web (technical), digital marketing and e-commerce domains, the Head of the online department is in charge of the development of the website. He/She has as main goals to increase the traffic on the website and convert the acquired traffic into loyal customers.

He/She frequently reports the results of the online activity to the management of the group and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with the customers and the partners of the online website.

Main activities and responsibilities:

Defining the online strategy and ensuring its proper execution and reporting on the results

  • Establishing the strategy and the development of the group’s website
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of all on-line actions and ensuring a proper reporting to the management of the group
  • Increasing the traffic to the web site through marketing campaigns, specific actions, newsletters, … in collaboration with the brand an marketing manager
  • Analyze competitor practices and identify new opportunities/technologies for the promotion of the online website
  • Following (VIP) player patterns and identifying opportunities or threats, thereby maximizing the player value and gross gaming revenue
  • Ensure that the website remains up-to-date and is properly maintained (regular updates, processing (player) feedback, ensuring new content, optimizing click through rate, …)
  • Making sure the websites performs optimally, by following customer queries, routinely checking the services yourself and continuously discussing and implementing improvements
  • Making sure the website is GDPR compliant together with the legal dept.
  • Increasing the incomes of the website and developing the offer of the online products

Optimizing the online presence

  • Oversee that the communication with players remains optimal, by following-up on replies given through Social Media, the helpdesk of the website, …
  • Identifying valuable target groups on the basis of your reporting and extracting revenue by sending them relevant (automated) campaigns
  • Optimizing and watching over the bonus ratio, making sure bonuses remain an effective re-activation and retention tool and do not become an expense
  • Taking charge of the management of the teams
  • Regularly meeting the Marketing department
  • Coordinating online actions and campaigns with the different teams (frontend, backend, customer support, CRM…)
  • Motivating and supervising the team members working for Online
  • Evaluating and coaching team members
  • Growing the team by hiring relevant people, in consultation with management

Your profile:

Knowledge:

• You have obtained at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the area of commerce, (web)marketing or management of new technologies and you have at least 5 years of experience in these areas

• You are very familiar with the web, its tools and its possibilities (e-commerce sites, social media, …)

• Excellent knowledge on the KPI’s of an online business

Know-how:

• You are a master of Office tools

• You are capable of leading a team and motivating said team to achieve set objectives

• You know how to properly analyze your competitors (market analysis, positioning, strengths and weaknesses compared to your competitors…)

• Working together with the marketing team, you will develop and execute an (e)-commerce plan

• Studying the available tools (Google analytics, …) you will perform the necessary actions to improve the conversion rate on the website

Interpersonal Skills

• Speaking English is an absolute requirement, knowledge of any other language(s) is a plus

• You are able to understand the demands, needs and drivers of customers, team members and partners

• You are creative and often bring new ideas to the table

• You are proactive, thereby preventing potential issues before they arise, while meeting customer's and management's expectations, before they are expressly requested

• You are precise, methodical, analytical and disciplined
