Senior Scrum Master The Infrastructure department of our client is responsible for improving the services they are providing to their customers. This includes a faster delivery of services as well as being able to faster respond to changes. On top, it needs to comply with the agile way of working done by the software development departments in IT and to become an “agile department”. Therefore, our client is looking for a senior scrum master/agile coach, who can guide an Infrastructure department in this agile transformation. Organisation description:

Therefore, our client is looking for a senior scrum master/agile coach, who can guide an Infrastructure department in this agile transformation.

Job description:

As senior scrum master/agile coach, you are responsible for: Assessing the current way of working of the department Agreeing together with the management on the to be achieved measurable results Setting up a transformation plan using an evolutionary approach Following up the implementation of this transformation plan including a strong focus on the people aspect As an Infrastructure department cannot be compared with a usual software development department, the senior scrum master needs to be able to take into account its specificity. Next to that, he is also responsible for: Helping the infrastructure department to apply agile methodologies in order to provide added value to the customer Guiding the team to become self-organizing and work in a multidisciplinary way Guiding the team to become self-steering regarding the use of methods and techniques for the team to achieve tangible results Determining the maturity of the team and coaching the team to increase the agile maturity at a suitable pace for the team and the organization Implementing a culture of continuous learning & improvement in the team Ensuring a safe environment of trust where problems can be addressed without finger pointing and negative judgment Facilitating the rituals and disciplining the team in doing so: backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-up , sprint review, sprint retrospective Helping the team in impediment identification & removing Facilitating discussion, decision-making and solving of conflicts Facilitating in achieving the foreseen results without assigning tasks Assisting with inside and outside communication of the team with the purpose to maximize transparent and valuable information Supporting the product owner with the maintenance of the product backlog Supporting the team from the practices of servant leadership and lead by example Ensuring transparency towards stakeholders (product owner, PMO, Management Team)

Profile:

University degree, or equivalent by experience, At least 5 years of experience in IT Experience in working in or for an infrastructure department At least 3 year experience of working as a scrum master Ideally already working as a scrum master or agile coach in an infrastructure department Profound knowledge of Scrum & Kanban Good knowledge of other agile methodologies Experience of applying agile methodologies in a telecom environment is a plus Fluent communication in Dutch and English An excellent communicator and facilitator Adapts his methods, techniques, approach & leadership style to the situation Listening & providing valuable feedback Ability to coach and teach Ability to work in a fast changing environment Authenticity in telling and living the agile values Constantly striving for improvement Enjoys to coach people to grow and improve
