Job description

  • As Senior Demand Planner FMCG you will create, analyse and fine tune the basic statistical forecasts and models, in order to ensure that all customer service requirements are being met.
  • During production reviews you will ensure that the demand plan is accurately and timely translated into a supply plan that supports customer requirements and internal objectives.
  • As Senior Demand Planner FMCG you will be required to participate in or take the lead of continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of the team, the division or the company.
  • Using the adequate metrics, you will monitor supply chain performance and inventory levels, and bring them to the most optimal level.
  • With the support of our Marketing, Sales and Supply teams, you will be responsible for End-to-End NPD/EPD project management, which includes contingency planning and problem solving.
  • You will control the launch approval process by ensuring the initiatives are progressing at the required critical path timings.
  • As Senior Demand Planner FMCG you will be the single point of contact between the factories, commercial teams and Marketing.
  • You will manage the transfer / transition of products by ensuring a minimal obsolete stock and maximum availability.
  • You will develop relationships with suppliers and, when necessary, negotiate improvement of the speed and efficiency of their supply.
  • As Senior Demand Planner FMCG you will provide ad hoc analysis and work in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing to ensure optimum decision making and reaction to potential issues.
  • You will summarise and present analysis and NPD/EDP planning assumptions to a cross-functional team during S&OP meetings.

  • You remain organised and focussed in face of competing priorities and tasks, and you never miss a deadline.
  • When faced with a problem, you define it, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • As Senior Demand Planner FMCG you have excellent project management skills and you are able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • You are an excellent communicator and influencer and you will use those skills to work effectively across multiple departments and levels.
  • While you can work on your own initiative, you are also a good team player.
