​Aisin Europe, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese company Aisin Seiki, itself part of the Toyota Group (2nd largest automotive manufacturer), is one of the ten largest car parts suppliers. 

Aisin Europe is specialised in the import/export, manufacture, engineering and sale of car parts for the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) market as well as the spare parts market. 

For its European head office located in Braine-l’Alleud in Belgium, our client is currently seeking:

Automotive Technology and Strategy Specialist – EN

Your role will be to identify and report on any and all developments that may impact future technologies and thus the group’s proposed solutions with respect to the European car market.

In this fascinating role as an “influencer”:

• you will attend events, meetings and conferences related to the auto industry to collect information of interest to the company (EuroNCAP, CLEPA, etc.);
• you will identify and analyse market trends, customer wants and needs, industry developments, the positions of competitors and their impacts on Aisin; 
• you will also analyse the negative impacts, at the technological level, of laws, regulations and other standardisations (in terms of safety, respect for the environment, etc.) through very diversified ad hoc contacts;
• you will report on your findings and recommendations at the level of the group, in Japan, thereby clearly contributing to the development of the company's strategy;
• you will share the result of your observations with sales teams and the marketing department and prepare presentation materials for that purpose.

Profile  

• You ideally have a Master’s Degree (preferably in a technical field) or have reached that level through relevant experience.
• You have a minimum 3 years of experience in a similar or related position, preferably in the automotive industry, and are passionate about the sector.
• You also have proven knowledge of European legislation with respect to the automotive industry.
• You possess excellent analytical and communication skills.
• You are open-minded and flexible; demonstrate a determined, enthusiastic, proactive and positive attitude; and seek to capitalize on every opportunity. 
• You are willing to travel internationally on a regular basis (20% on average, more on occasion).
• You are proficient in written and spoken English and also master a second language, such as French or German.
