Reporting to: Plant manager Moustier

Role Purpose:

Ensures world class process performance within the area of responsibility based on best practice sharing, driving implementation, audit and continuous improvement, coaching of the HSE team and respective line managers.

As member of the Local mgt team Moustier defines the strategic action plan to assure implementation of Operations & Business strategy within their respective area of responsibility

Contribution:

C1. Area of responsibility

• Defines HSEQ plan and target setting supporting the overall Borealis HSE strategy
• Responsible for continuous improvement of all HSE processes
• Identifies and defines performance targets based on benchmarking, best practice sharing and strategic requirements
• Actively supports KPI achievement through steering, coaching and follow up of the HSE team and line management
• Assures that best practice and lessons are shared and implemented in order to guarantee overall effectiveness
• Drives continuous improvement projects based on The Borealis Way methodology in order to assure sustainable improvements
• Develops and maintains management systems
• Assures anticipation of upcoming legislation via an active external network
• Raises awareness and increases knowledge sharing in the area of expertise throughout Rosier
• Defines gaps versus best practices and provides expertise to mitigate the impact of risks on people, property, products, the company and the community
• Develops and/or recommends standards that are used throughout the company, meeting the legal requirements and in line with the best industry practices
• Identifies and initiates training of skills and competences in the organization
• Reports incidents and prioritizes efforts to prevent re-occurrence
• Responsible for internal quality systems (ISO 9001 -14001 – OSIAS)
• Recruitment and competence development of direct reports in order to assure expertise is available on Rosier group level
• Drives a pro active best practice sharing and lessons learned to assure good operational excellence in the area of HSE
• Ensures integration of customer perspective into HSE system and processes (i.e. avoid disturbances in deliveries to customers, by disturbances in production etc. caused by inadequate HSE performance)

Skills:

• Master’s degree from acknowledged university or equivalent
• Mastery of English at business level
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in manufacturing
• Recognised for having excellent people skills, good team player and good change manager and create winning team culture
• Not only administrative oriented but also with practical skills (to be in the field)
