As a Senior GL Accountant you will be part of the General Ledger team and support the finance shared service center in Antwerp. You will be responsible from A to Z for several legal entities in the EMEA region.

Description

As a Senior GL Accountant you will be part of the General Ledger team and support the finance shared service center in Antwerp. You will be responsible from A to Z for several legal entities in the EMEA region.

• Review journal entries and bank and balance reconciliations
• Review the provisions and accruals
• Create new fixed asset and run FA depreciation
• Review intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Review the monthly and yearly closing and monitor the process
• Run FX revaluations for vendors, customers and GL account entries
• Be in contact with local finance teams
• Ensure team KPI's and continuous improvement
• Assist in audit
• Ensure all business processes are followed and compliant
• Any other ad-hoc projects

Profile

The Senior GL Accountant meets the following requirements:

• You obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy/Tax or equivalent through experience
• You have minimum 3 years working experience in a similar role
• You are fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
• You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus
• You are analytical and enthusiastic
• You have good communication skills and a hands-on mentality
• You are able to work independently and in a dynamic environment
