The Quality Engineer is responsible for :

  • Driving long-range Quality initiatives, plans and services for Patria BEC’s progression to and sustainment of top Quality level; 
  • Ensuring compliance to the standard;
  • Update & Maintain the quality system according to the requirements of the ISO/EN standards and Patria standards;
  • Ensure that all changes to procedure are communicated and understood and applied;
  • Coach, train, lead individuals and teams to the quality requirements;
  • Coordinate all pre-assessments and assessments actions of the site (process audits included)
  • Encourage & work with all the process owners to ensure all gaps are identified and plans to close are established;
  • Provide timely updates & accurate reports to the Quality & ACE Manager upon request or via standard updates;
  • Work with Internal customers to promote and solicit the use of ACE tools;
  • Deploy & maintain Q-Pulse tool into the organization;
  • Train & coach to the appropriate use of the software;
  • Develop a close working relationship with the Quality & ACE Manager.

Skills :

  • Master degree with at least 4 years’ experience quality management;
  • Experience leading Lean/continuous improvement/transformation change initiatives;
  • Ability to influence and lead cross functional teams and people in getting them to do what needs to be done, without having direct control over those individuals;
  • Ability to motivate teams and lead change at all levels of the organization. The candidate must demonstrate proven leadership skills;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Analyze sometimes very complex quality and continuous improvement situation;
  • Ability to recognize and leverage best practices;
  • Excellent communicating skills at all levels of the organization;
  • Possess strong pedagogic and presentation skills;
  • Self-starting, self-motivating, self-learning work approach;
  • Spoken and written English;
  • Accurate;
  • Likeable by maintaining a pleasant demeanor at all times;
  • Ability to analyze the gaps and establish appropriate improvement events and actions plans and prioritize them;
  • ACE Associate Required, Practitioner status preferred;
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office tools: strong Powerpoint, Excel, project, Visio and Word skills;
  • ACE Tools – not only personally proficient but capable of leading individuals and teams in tool application: kaizen, 3P, Pareto, Impact-Maturity Chart, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Mistake Proofing, MFA, Process Certification, QCPC, RRCA, TPM, etc…
  • The incumbent, in this role will be responsible for complying with Patria’s Code of Ethics, Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policy and applicable regulatory and Company rules and requirements.
