Context :

The Group Nexans launches an important project to focus on his competitivity. One lever is the reduction of the fix costs. We simply, adapt our global organisation. The HR function is aligned with this new model. The BGs/BUs become the driver, supported by 6 Centers of expertise and 2 Shared services centers.


 

Purpose :

  • The HR Site Manager is embedded in the Business where he/she works closely with the Plant Manager, the Business Unit VP and his/her management team to achieve the objectives of the plant anf the Business Unit in implementing the right organisations, developing the management teams and ensure the engagement of all the employees. He/she leads, coordinates and animates the extended HR Community at Business Uit level, in accordance to the Business Group guidelines.

 

  • His/her mission is to deploy the Business Group HR roadmap within the Plant and the Business Unit and contributing to the business objectives by:

- Taking ownership of Nexans’ HR strategy, policies, programs and processes and ensuring their deployment and their adaptation when relevant.
- Supporting, influencing and contributing to the Business Unit business strategy and by advising business leaders on HR matters.
- Being the warrant of HR professionalism, ensuring the proper talent availability and development at Business Unit level.
- Leading the Social transformation program/Employee engagement through the different units in making sure that the social climate is constructive, focus on the performance of the site and in making sure the engagement action plan reflects the Employee survey’s results


 

Areas of responsibility :

Business and HR transformation :

  • Business transformation :

- Contributes to the deployment of the Organization aligned with the Business Group Strategy.
- Leads change management process to support organizational transformation; defines and drives action plans and communication plans during business transformation
- Follows HR KPI (Absenteeism, overtime, Total Cost of Employment…) : makes sure about their reliability, analysis and improvement .

 

  • HR transformation :

- Ensures the efficiency of the HR function in developing a continuous improvement plan
- Participates to HR organization development and progress, in cooperation with other HR community members.
- Coordinates and implements HR policies, programs, processes, such as Performance Management, Grading of the organization, the salary review (in line with the country coordination).
- Ensures accurate HRIS deployments within the Business Unit
- Shares feedback with Nexans HR community to enrich Group programs.

 

Staffing/talent management :

  • Defines the Workforce Planning for the Business Unit in accordance with the Business priorities,
  • Fulfills the succession Plan & deploys the SPID process,
  • Follows and manage the international mobilities
  • Ensures the staffing process for the Business Unit key positions, in coordination with the Business Group HRBP, Corporate VP Talent and the Staffing Shared Service Center for Europe.
  • Ensures the implementation of the competency models, that Individual Development Plans are defined and realized.
  • Identify development needs/Learning or Change projects and work with the Business Group HRBP and the Center Of Expertise Learning to deploy them.


 

Social Transformation & Employee Engagement :

  • Sponsors and strengthens the Health and Safety culture.
  • Ensures that the business conduct guidelines are implemented (Competition Law Compliance, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, any other relevant guideline)
  • Follows the labor relations issues on Sites and works with the Country Center Of Expertise Social relations if required.
  • Supports the COEs Social relations of the different countries in ensuring that relevant actions comply with the local, social and legal legislation.
  • Ensure the social climate on site and the operational performance in reviewing the KPI and associated action plan.
  • Ensures the employee engagement in notably reviewing employees satisfaction survey process (design, communication, results analysis, action plan, and follow-up) and the communication actions on site.
  • Manage functionally the Site HR Managers.

 

 

Required skills and qualifications :

  • 10-15 years experience in HR Generalist Positions
  • Business oriented
  • Negotiation skills
  • Exposure within an International business – Fluent in English
  • Managerial skills
  • Ability to drive projects and achieve results in a matric organisation
  • Ability to assess/develop people
  • Strong communication & animation capabilities
  • Good listener, analyses mindset to translate a need in a solution
  • Demonstrate superior customer service skills and knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement practices
  • Ability to work with multiple people/projects concurrently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
