Client Details

Our client is a Belgian company, leader in Benelux, in manufacturing, sales and installation of safety equipment related to the building industry.

The company prides itself on its Belgian roots and has decided to keep its manufacturing site in Belgium. By employing their own team of engineers, technical draughtsmen and workers, they ensure to provide the highest level of expertise from the design to the installation to their clients.

Operating since the 60's, the company has been able to grow and expand its activities internationnally (more than 50 countries).

The company employs more than 70 people.


As Sales Engineer, you are in charge of a specific geographic scope (between Antwerp & Brussels).

You meet the clients located in that area, understand their needs and issues before providing them with the most tailored solution.

This involves

- understanding the technical features of the client's projects - in collaboration with architects and building contractors

- being able to draw technical sketches of the solution for the client and the company's manufacturing workers

- being able to work out the most accurate technical solution based on client's needs and feasibility of the project

- being able to work out the commercial offer

As expert of your market, you grow successful long-term business relationships with your clients

You spot new market opportunities by actively prospecting the market and networking with other experts and stakeholders of your field : architects, prevention advisers, fire brigade organisations, head of technical services, etc.

You share your market insight with the internal marketing team

You collaborate with the other account managers of the team to build the success of the company.


The successfulcandidate will match the following criteria

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales roles (account management, business development, project manager, sales engineer) in the building - safety - technical equipment industry
  • Master both Dutch & French
  • Able to draw technical sketches, understand highly technical projects and products
  • Experience in project management
  • Have an existing relevant network of contacts in the industry in the assigned sector
  • Structured, systematic and disciplined professional approach
  • Excellent relationship skills and results-driven mindset
