Client Details

The client, a Retail Group in Belgium, is looking for a Category Manager (Merchandiser) to join his team.

Description

The Category Manager (Merchandiser) will be in charge of the following tasks:

  • Determine and optimize, manage and develop a mini-plan within the plan of the store and according to the main characteristics of the customer zone (customers and competition).

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, decide on the presence and allowed importance of each available module
  • Analysis and profitability of the modules and proposals for changes that seem appropriate; Optimize the space of the points of sale
  • For all modules, within the generally determined policy, recommend the sales material and furniture
  • Recommend / develop / estimate the specific didactic material of each module
  • Organize, orientate, control the work of the planogrammeurs
  • Set up the merchandising tactics of category management in the store
  • The merchandiser is responsible for the cadastral attitude and the mini-plans of each store and inventory of the didactic material
  • Work out, follow up and manage files / transfer invoices to the stores
  • Organize implants of the new assortments
  • Organizing progress meetings of the building sites with the various intermediaries in the context of remodeling or installations
  • Follow up the remodeling / installations
  • Responsible for the contacts and communications between the stores and the central

Profile

  • Masters degree
  • Experience as a Store Manager in Retail - Distribution (knowledge of the stores)
  • Bilingual NL / FR + EN
  • People Management experience
  • Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Sense for contacts
  • Team spirit, good communication skills
  • Listening skills
  • Independent, flexible, available and resistant to stress
  • Well organized, able to manage the unforeseen
