Your mission

Ensure business relevant protection of Tarkett innovations

Manage at optimized costs the patent portfolio at group level

Mission details

  • Protection of Tarkett innovations (60%)
  • Define and implement IP strategies in relation with the business and R&D departments
  • Manage, in line with Division business objectives, the preparation and the obtention of Tarkett inventions in relation with the external attorneys,
  • Ensure that competition position (IP, business) is taken into account in patent filings. Run patent landscape and FTO accordingly
  • Patent portfolio Management  (40%)
  • Align at optimized cost the patent portolio accordingly
  • Propose and follow the associated budget
  • Manage the patent network across the divisions and the Group Patent steering committee
  • Contribute to the development of the Tarkett patent culture across the Group (training, best practices, dedicated tools,…)

Position in the organization

Work in close cooperation with the patent senior expert and R&D Assistant

Possible evolution to a position of Patent Innovation Manager

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

  • Technical background compulsory in Material Sciences (Chemistry/biology, Plastic engineering, Physics …)
  • Academic/operational background in patents valuable but not compulsory (internal/external training possible)
  • Leadership, International openness, team spirit, interpersonal skills
  • English is a must, French or Chinese is an asset
