Accountemps is looking for an Financial Controller (F/M/X) for one of our clients in Brussels.

Our client, a worldwide player active in the fashion industry, is located in Brussels and is looking for a new employee to join a dynamic and professional team.

As Financial Controller (M/F/X) you will be responsible for the day to day financial activities. You will join a dynamic team of 3 people and report directly to the Accounting & Finance Manager.You will be in charge of the following tasks:

• Analyzing and preparing financial statements, including profit-and-loss statements, balance sheets;
• Performing ad hoc reporting, analyses and investigative issues;
• Assisting with budgeting;
• Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies;
• Creating systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations;
• Reporting to the senior financial controller with timely and accurate financial information;
• Assisting the team in presenting reports;
• Supporting the internal departments by improving financial processes;
• Analysing procedures and identify/quantify main risks such as fraud, theft, assets protection;
• Being key contact for the stores regarding financial and process aspects (incl. cash reconciliation, contact with banks, controls, …).

As a Financial Controller, your responsibilities are as follows:

• You preferably have a Master in Finance or Economics;
• You have a first experience in Auditing or in a similar position;
• Experience in retail sector is an asset;
• You have a good knowledge of BE GAAP;
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and/or Dutch and you also have a professional knowledge of English;
• Ability to work under pressure.
