TEMPORARY MISSION :

As a Logistics Specialist you'll be responsible for the day-to-day processing and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments (internal and external customers, worldwide) and related tasks to ensure timely, accurate and cost-efficient delivery.

Description

TEMPORARY MISSION :

As a Logistics Specialist you'll be responsible for the day-to-day processing and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments (internal and external customers, worldwide) and related tasks to ensure timely, accurate and cost-efficient delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Book / coordinate / follow up transport until delivery, for deliveries according to standard agreed delivery terms as well as for express shipments (route, maritime and air freight)
  • Drawing up the accompanying transport documents.
  • Payload optimization
  • Timely preparation and sending of all accompanying documents.
  • Continuously improve the handling of all shipments, taking into account financial and customs related requirements
  • Arranging, preparing and checking customs documents.

Safety & Compliance

  • Check that all chemicals are imported and exported in accordance with all applicable regulations.
  • Ensure that any incidents are limited and properly investigated. Draw up and follow up the implementation of preventive and corrective measures.
  • Preparation and follow-up of Logistic Supplier Corrective Action Requests (logistic complaints / incident handling)
  • Strictly adhering to our Safety, Health and Environment company rules to ensure SHE compliance is assured for every action at all times.

  • Checking invoices for additional costs
  • Support Logistics Lead for new and current projects
  • Back up of colleagues
  • Establish effective working relationships with colleagues in your own team, with colleagues from other departments and with our business partners.

Profile

Our client is looking for a temporary candidate that :

  • 2 - 3 years experience in logistics
  • Fluent in ENGLISH and DUTCH or FRENCH
  • Basic knowledge of Incoterms
  • Basic knowledge of dangerous goods (ADR, IATA, IMDG)
  • Stress-resistant, hands-on personality, work ethical, curious and autonomous
