Senior Accountant (m/f/x) - Marche-En-Famme

For its development our client is looking for a Senior Accountant.

Our client is active in biotechnology sector and located in the Marche-en-Famenne Region.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in accounting and having experience in SME's and USGAAP reporting. A bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent with at least 5 years of applicable experience in Accounting in a biotech company is a must.

Concretely:

• Accountant responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements.
• He/She will also run the company's accounting software program (Netsuite) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.
• The Senior Accountant will have an essential role in the monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of the books in USGAAP/BEGAAP.
• He/She will assist the Head of Corporate Functions in overseeing accounting activities in other subsidiaries and Joint-Ventures in Europe.
• He/She will be in charge of reporting up-to-date information on the budget versus current expenses on a monthly basis.
• He/She will be a backup for some of the HR-related activities such as the salaries monthly processing.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• At least five years of relevant experience
• Familiar with USGAAP reporting or IFRS knowledge
• Experience recording Walloon Region grants is a plus
• Strong knowledge of the MS Office packages (specially in Excel)
• Knowledge of Oracle Netsuite or similar ERP package
• Fluent in English with a good knowledge of French with good written and oral communication skills
