As a Temporary Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for the day to day follow up of import and export shipments and related tasks.

Our client is a big international company specialised in the chemical sector. They are present all over the world and are the leader in the industrial production.

Description

As a Temporary Logistics Specialist you will be responsible for the day to day follow up of import and export shipments and related tasks.

Therefore you'll ensure that the operations are smooth and in compliance as well as support Logistics Lead and handle different projects. The mission is until end of October 2021!

Tasks:

  • You'll coordinate, consolidate, and execute the export distribution of products when available for shipment
  • You'll proactively interface and ensure effective coordination with freight forwarders, distribution centers, air/ocean carriers, Customer Service, Planning, and Logistics
  • You'll strive to minimize shipping cost by consolidating shipments as much as possible with minimal impact to transit times and operate with sense of urgency to ensure transit times are not negatively impacted
  • You'll maintain necessary records, files and reports and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory guidelines applicable to record keeping and training requirements like IATA, DOT or IMDG
  • You'll resolve corrective action requests (CCIR / SCAR) in SAP that results from service failures to customers.

Profile

We are looking for a Temporary Logistics Specialist that :

* 3-5 years of experience in Supply chain activities (customer service and/or logistics distribution processes

* Language skills: fluent English, good basics of Dutch (reading/speaking)

* Has is hands-on, multitask, strong problem solver, teamplayer and customer oriented

* Strong knowledge of MS Office and SAP (or another ERP system)
