Everzinc is a global producer of specialty zinc-based chemicals covering four product lines: fine zinc powders, zinc oxide, battery zinc powders and Zano, an ultra-fine zinc oxide.

Out of its various plants (Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, Canada, China and Malaysia), and with the expertise and engagement of its 600 employees, Everzinc processes over 200,000 tons of materials for a variety of applications including corrosion inhibiting paints, performance tires, pharmaceuticals, ceramics and glass, sunscreen, alkaline batteries etc.

Sales Manager Europe

Min. 5 years’ experience in an account management position, fluent in English and French; German a plus

Job description

  • To reach your objectives, you will lead and manage sales activities in line with the commercial strategy you developed in collaboration with the Commercial Director. You will define your commercial approach to manage your market for dedicated product lines and applications.
  • You will lead your client portfolio of distributors and industries (SME), and develop long-term partnerships with them. You will accompany them through different steps namely the selection, evaluation, annual agreements, setting targets, regular meetings and follow-ups.
  • You will negotiate contracts and manage follow up & customer/distributor relations.
  • Reporting  regularly to principals on achieved results, visits, deviations from budget & taking necessary proactive actions are part of your daily responsibilities.
  • You will analyze market trends, collect feedback from your colleagues and clients. In addition, you will practice a smart competitor watch and focus your activities on identifying valuable new opportunities.
  • You will monitor customer risks, communicate prices timely for hedging purposes, manage own inventories within limits agreed upon with management. You will closely monitor the credit situation for all customers and perform the sales activities within the credit policy of Everzinc.
  • You will represent Everzinc in international associations and specialized fairs.
  • You will report to the Fine Zinc Powder Market Director.
  • You are willing to travel up to 25% of your time.

Profile

  • You hold minimum a master’s degree as an industrial engineer. (commercial, industrial or chemical)
  • You have at least 8 years of professional experience with a minimum of 5 years of business experience in a commercial environment and in a sector industry relevant to Everzinc.
  • You have an affinity with the chemical and/or paint industry and are eager to learn new products.
  • You have strong communicative and analytical skills.
  • You are a result-oriented person with a strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • You are innovative and open-minded to see new business opportunities thanks to an “out of the box” targeted approach.
  • You are familiar in working in a matrix organization
  • You have an excellent command of English, French and ideally German.
