Legal Counsel - Brussels - Sustainability

Our client, based in Brussels, is looking for an experienced Legal Counsel in commercial law.

As a Legal Counsel, you will be joining a strong, well-known and international player in the design, construction and maintenance sector. Based in Brussels, they are helping to build more sustainable and greener ecosystems.

Being involved in various and innovative projects, from concept to design, to assembly and installation, the entire process is taken care of.

Description

Within a Legal Team of 8 people, the Legal Counsel will directly report to the Head of Legal in place and have following responsibilities :

analyzing (public and private) tender documents and providing hands-on advice ;negotiating and drafting all sorts of commercial contracts (construction agreements, maintenance agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements…) ; providing practical legal advice on a large scope of legal questions related to all client's activities (commercial law, company law, contract law, public procurement law, PPP…) ; following up national and international litigation in which the client is involved.

Profile

You have a Master degree in law ; You have between 7 and 15 years of relevant experience preferably as a lawyer or in-house counsel in an international environment ; You have proven experience in contract and corporate law, experience in financial law is appreciated ;You are fluent in Dutch and French. English is a plus.

In terms of soft skills, as a legal counsel, you have strong communication and relational skills. You are proactive, positive, pragmatic, and open-minded. You are assertive, self-confident and a true team player, and at the same time you can work autonomously.
