Client Details

Our client, a well know food producer within the FMCG industry, is looking for a Procurement Officer to add to the current team.

The company is based in the region of Puurs and easy accessible by car. The connection with public transport is less evident.

Description

As a Procurement Officer you are responsible to assure timely availability of required products and services at the best quality/price ratio.

• Ensure timely and correct supplies of materials and services based on production plan
• Manage and follow-up complains to suppliers
• Monitor Safety Stock together with warehouse colleagues
• Source alternative suppliers, evaluating quality, price and delivery time
• You are in contact with internal (production planning, production, marketing, quality,...) and external stakeholders (suppliers)
• Creation of reports about spends, delivery and supplier assessment
• Maintenance of the contracts database
• Input packaging cost in tender to support RFQ handles by sales

You will report directly to the procurement manager.

Profile

• Bachelor or Master Degree and a first experience withing procurement
• Fluent in English and a good knowledge of Dutch
• Excel
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset
• Administratively accurate and you work in a structured way BUT you are flexible with changes and can set priorities where necessary
• Team player
• You are able to meet deadlines
