As Legal Manager in the Brussels office, you will manage a team of two legal counsels and provide legal advice in commercial, corporate and GDPR.

Our client is one of the world's largest reinsurers and a leader in the private health insurance market in Belgium. They are looking for a Legal Manager for their office in Brussels (located next to the train station).

Description

As Legal Manager in the Brussels office, you will report directly to the Head of Legal and provide legal advice and support to all business operations in relation to general commercial and contract law, data protection law and corporate law. Your main responsibilities include:

Drafting and review of all sorts of commercial agreements Legal support in terms of data protection and cyber and information securityCorporate housekeeping and corporate governance Management of litigation matters and liasing with external lawyersMonitoring of new legislation

Profile

As Legal Manager, you:

Have a Master's degree in Law (a postgraduate in commercial law is a plus)Have at least 8 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house legal counsel (previous experience is life insurance is a plus)Are fluent in Dutch or French and have an excellent knowledge of EnglishHave strong communication skillsAre business oriented and good at alaysing and summarising information Are energetic, enthusiastic and flexible
