HR and Quality Manager

Redu Space Services (RSS) has a vacancy at the European Space Security and Education Centre (ESEC), in Redu in the Ardennes region of Belgium.  This position is part of the RSS Management Committee. 

In this position you will: 

• Support RSS management team in the definition, implementation, and improvement of HR & Human Capital (HC) policies and procedures. Define and implement attractive retention plans along a real attractive human capital strategy to allow to outline the RSS attractiveness among adequate candidates. 
• Make sure that standard Quality best practices are rolled-out and applied throughout the organization. Support ISO certification process to maintain the certification of RSS 
• Support Quality aspects related to RSS services and projects activities  
• Act as company security officer and ensure Facility Security Clearances and Personal Security Clearances management with Belgian NSA 

Domains of activities: 

• Ensure HR/HC policies and procedures are defined, implemented and improved 
• Support the management team on the HR/HC management activities such as : align resources adequation with RSS strategy, Build a consistent HC full life cycle, including : the training plan, the staff competencies, career evolution plan, the appraisals elaboration, the recruitment and welcome of new staff, the compensation and benefits. 
• Manage company QMS and follow-up on continuous application of processes and procedures 
• Increase awareness of staff towards the Quality Management System  
• Set-up and deliver regular status reports to Management (e.g.: company dashboard) 
• Manage the company Documentation Management System 
• Manage company and personal security clearances with the National Security Agency (NSA) 

Ideal candidates shall meet the following criteria: 

• Be a national of a Member State of the European Union 
• Hold a valid EU Secret Security Clearance or be entitled to obtain it from the relevant NSA 
• Fluent in spoken and written French and English 
• Have an engineering university degree or equivalent 
• Experience (5 years + in similar companies/structures) in HR/HQ management and good knowledge of HR/HQ policies and rules applicable in Belgium 
• Experience in Quality Management preferably in the Space Industry 
• Deep knowledge of ISO Quality standards acquired  
• Good knowledge of security policies and standards 
• Effective communication and persuasion skills, both verbal and written with different functional teams (technical, commercial, administrative) 
• Positive, “can-do”, “make it happen” attitude 
• Good analytical skills; capacity of learning and problem-solving minded 
• Team worker / autonomous / result and customer oriented
