Decarbonization Project Manager - Carbon Neutral Project

• You execute and monitor the Carbon Neutral Accelerated Ambition projects (Decarbonization) for the world's largest manufacturers of building materials.

Description

• Decarbonization Project Management;
• Environmental regulatory affairs & Sustainability;
• CO2 capture management;
• In charge of the decarbonisation plan for +/- 7 sites in Belgium (Wallonia);
• Internal contact : Sales, Sustainability, Business Line, Production department;
• You execute and monitor the Carbon Neutral Ambition time-line, projects, initiatives and opportunities;
• You initiate proposals for Circular Economy, carbon capture and utilisation/storage (CCUS) with a technico-economical analysis;
• Build on information from other country organisations as well as the Group expertise;
• You launch the Accelerated Ambition decarbonization projects, together with our BeNe (Belgium & Netherlands) Operational Entities and you guide them through the initial phases until and including a gradual take-over by implementation teams;
• You engage intensively with regulators and policy makers in BeNe to create the right framework for economical feasible decarbonization implementations;
• You identify and collaborate with other industries and/or stakeholders sharing similar interests, to develop regulations/policies and infrastructure in a direction that supports our client Benelux specific needs, with a focal point to the emissions of the cement production lines in Wallonia;

Profile

• You own a Master degree in Engineering (chemical engineering is a plus)
• You are fluent in English, Dutch & French is a plus.
• You have some experience in the industry, with regulations, networking and lobbying & advocacy, Publics Affairs,
• You easily create effective coalitions with various industrial & non-industrial stakeholders : ministerial office, administration;
  
• You have the following skills: project management, strong strategic thinking to realize the long-term vision, high level of self-management, capability to manage and operate in very diverse teams in parallel;
• You are also capable of executing fit-for-purpose technical economical analysis (even with incomplete data-sets);
