From the COVID-19 health crisis to the Russo-Ukrainian War, businesses their risk landscape is rapidly evolving in all of its domains. Organizations are struggling with keeping up the pace, and long for advice on how to tackle their risk game plan. Our offering enables clients to understand, assess, manage and mitigate environmental, regulatory, financial, strategic, and operational risks in their third party population.

Deloitte assists clients to better understand their third party environment, identify key risk areas that could impact the organization’s business and reputation, and define mitigation action plans in line with the organization’s strategy. We provide recommendations on how to address gaps in existing procedures and controls, to uplift the organization’s overall risk position. Additionally, we conduct inspections at third parties to evaluate compliance with agreed contractual terms and local regulation, allowing our clients to have an informed view on their ecosystem. We especially have a large footprint on these activities in the transportation & logistics industry, which is particularly interesting due to it’s unique business model and increasing customer expectation.

With businesses growing, exponentially leading to a larger third party network, we can use your help to support our clients in defining, prioritizing, mitigating and controlling their risk environment.

We are looking to enforce our team with an experienced consultant who will focus on advising clients on risk domains and who can help with the following:

• Align with clients to understand risk strategy.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Provide recommended risk mitigating actions.
• Independently execute third party inspections.

These are some examples of our common offerings, but in reality the great thing about our Extended Enterprise team is the flexibility we can offer our clients when they need assistance with their business partner relationships. We respond to these situations in order to assist them, meaning we are able to tailor each project to the unique needs of our clients.

You are passionate about helping others and strive towards delivering added value to our clients. You get energized from analyzing risk domains, defining priority areas and providing possible solutions to improve the overall risk state of our clients’ ecosystem.

What are the must-haves to excel in this role?

• 2-3yrs of similar experience and/or a go at it attitude that can show you are the right fit for this all-encompassing role.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to connect the dots between different processes and topics.
• You work well with other team members.
• You are a multitasker and not hesitant to take up new roles and projects.
• Fluent in English.

Nice-to-haves to get up to speed faster:

• An experience or affinity in the transportation, logistics, supply chain industry.
• Have an understanding of the risk domains within this field.
• You have good analytical skills.
• Working in an international environment is not new to you.
• Any other language than English is considered a valuable asset. French and/or German are a plus.
