Group Financial Controller

For our client, we are looking for a Group Financial Controller (m/f/x) to support their professional development and international growth strategy.

Our client is a well-known local and international company active in IT sector and located in Liege Area.

In your role, you will lead many initiatives to support the professionalization of our client: Group reporting, statutory accounting, fast closing, IFRS, etc. You will then have the opportunity to take part in many projects.

• Coordinate the activities of the financial departments of the international locations : Supervision of subsidiaries' accounting (Europe, USA, Latam, …)
• Prepare the monthly/quarterly and annual closing: monitor financial statements, speed up processes, support external audits
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
• Ensure accounting policies are properly documented, understood and adhered to. If needed organise training or coaching.
• Support the team with the company's tax obligations (VAT, corporate tax, etc.)
• Liaise with / support Business Controlling as regard month-end reporting, forecasting and budgeting.
• In collaboration with FP&A and Tresury department, lead the production of the Group Cash-Flow Statement and ensure corrective actions with the business.
• Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
• Support the Group consolidation process (international scope): analyze subsidiaries' financial reports, intercompany transactions, etc.
• Take the lead of several projects intended to improve end-to-end transactional processes, reporting quality, timeliness and transparency
• Help the accounting team use the new ERP (Microsoft D365) properly by directly working with the team's key-users
• Identify the areas for improvement and implement solutions
• Get involved in IFRS transition and the future IPO
• Be active on post M&A integrations

YOUR PROFILE

• Master's in finance, accounting, economics or any other subject that is useful for this role
• 5+ years' experience in a position involving both finance and accounting
• Good knowledge of accounting and closing processes
• Knowledge of Begaap regulations (IFRS is a plus)
• Familiar with Consolidation is a plus and being driven to learn new things is a must
• IT-minded and an expert in Excel
• Excellent command of French and English. Knowledge of Dutch, Spanish or another language is a plus
• Proactive and a team player
• Performance driven and able to meet deadlines
• Honest, reliable and discreet
• Assertive and good communication skills
• Analytical mind, attention to detail and very precise, all while being able to adopt an objective overview of a situation
• Able to adapt to a constantly evolving dynamic environment
