Our client is one of the world's largest reinsurers and a leader in the private health insurance market in Belgium.

Description

As Legal Counsel in Data Protection and Commercial Law, you will come strengthen the legal department. You will provide legal advice and support to all business operations in relation to general commercial and contract law, data protection law and corporate law. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Drafting and review of all sorts of commercial agreements
• Legal support in terms of data protection and cyber and information security
• Corporate housekeeping and corporate governance
• Management of litigation matters and liaising with external lawyers
• Monitoring of new legislation

Profile

As Legal Counsel in Data Protection and Commercial Law, you have/are:

• A Master's degree in Law (a postgraduate in commercial law is a plus)
• At least 4 years of experience as a lawyer or in-house legal counsel
• Are fluent in Dutch or French with an excellent knowledge of English
• Strong communication skills
• Business oriented and good at analysing and summarising information
• Energetic, enthusiastic and flexible
