They work by projects and ensure the communication plans for international companies.

In order to support their development, we are currently recruiting their new Senior Accounting Manager.

Their Belgian offices are located in the center of Brussels.

Senior Accounting Manager - Brussels

As the Senior Accounting Manager you are responsible for the accuracy & integrity of the regional accounting records and financial systems for Belgium.

In this role, you manage a team of 7 Accountants in AP /AR / GL (4 direct reports & 3 indirect reports) and report directly to the European Controlling Director.

Your main tasks consist in :

• Managing the Finance & Accounting department for Belgium (7 people)
• Being responsible for the A to Z accounting activities for the 2 Belgian legal entities
• Supervising the closing process and preparing the financial reporting to the group
• Managing the VAT & tax returns
• Being in charge of the preparation of the statutory accounts in BE GAAP & US GAAP
• Supporting the Treasury & Tax departments on local issues
• Supporting the HR department regarding the payroll accounting
• Acting as a business partner to the different stakeholders and boing the reference on the accounting related topics
• Participating to the improvement of financial processes & controls.

Profile

Senior Accounting Manager - Brussels

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance / Accounting / Management
• Minimum 5 years of financial experience as an Accounting Manager / Financial Controller / Finance Manager / External Auditor
• Good knowledge of the BE GAAP. US GAAP / IFRS are a plus
• Experience in an international firm is a plus
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of French & Dutch is a plus
• First experience as a Manager or willingness to grow in this role
• Very good Excel skills and used to work on ERPs.
