Client Details

Our client, a well-known retailer, is looking for a Material Planner/Supply Planner.

The office is located in the region of Malle/Kempen and easy accessible by car or public transport.

Description

• Work with with nominated suppliers in order to meet on-time shipping performance and availability targets and proactively work on OTIF issues.
• Work with with Procurement to discuss structural service difficulties and path of improvement
• Asses current component ordering process and make suggestions for improvement. Linked to this: make sure that current agreement & set up with supplier is correctly followed in terms of extra charges on service, pallets, returnable packaging,…
• Components stock management by evaluating current (minimum) order quantities and sequence to ensure production contingency and limited storage capacity;
• Monthly report on Component Slow-Moving & Obsolete Stock list and drive action to minimize stock risks (so-called Cosmos list);
• Cooperate and align with suppliers and procurement to facilitate a smooth transition/supply of old/new components and New Product Development related or not.
• Master-data accuracy and life cycle management: detect ideal stock (as proactive as possible), asses potential consumption in production and start scrapping and end of life cycle actions;
• Data cleansing efforts to ensure accurate lead-time, economic order quantity (EOQ), rounding values, minimum order quantities, etc…;
• Back up raw material planning

Profile

• Familiarity with key planning + inventory metrics + deliverables
• Preferred experience in a planning role or a supply chain organization
• Experience with ERP (preferably SAP) is a major plus
• Professional knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel & outlook)
• Fluent both written and spoken in Dutch & English
• Analytical
• Attention for details
• Hand-on and proactive
