For its client, Robert Half is Looking for a Financial Associate located mainly in Liège and willing to travel regularly to Amsterdam.

Your mission

As a member of our client team, you will represent the financial perspective of the Belgium Team and be the reliable contact person of the Belgium and Netherlands Region to the Headquarter Finance Team in Hamburg, Germany.

Major Responsibilities And Tasks

Preparation, analysis and submission of the Financial Reporting Package to the Head of Group Consolidation
Manage and control daily accounting operations (purchasing, sales, banking, taxes, stocks, assembly management)
Oversee the accounting in the Netherlands, including the related financial reporting, and submission to the Head of Group Consultation
Control Capex, OPEX and Treasury
Preparation of Forecasts
Supervise Payroll
Invoicing (including intercompany billing)
Document management (defined by law)
Support in the yearly budgeting process
Review and preparation of statutory financial statements, supervise the monthly accounting/ monthly tax declaration and year-end accounting/tax declaration
Being the reliable contact person for the external auditor and tax authorities
Being the internal financial business partner in international projects

Profile

Relevant college or university degree charted accountant qualification and registration is a must
Minimum a 5-year professional experience in a similar position, from which at least 3-4-year work experience in an international corporate environment (matrix organization) is also needed
Knowledge of Accounting and Tax legislation (local GAAP, IFRS)
Familiarity with Transfer Price Policy
Experience in monthly reporting, cash flow, intercompany cost transfers, liaising with tax advisors
Practice in Financial Controlling and BI Analysis
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
Good command of business French and English, both in speaking and writing
Good basic knowledge of Dutch
Efficient communication with Belgium and Foreign colleagues with business and/or technical background
Independent problem-solving skills
Reliable and precise work
Willingness to travel (1-3 x per month in Amsterdam)
